i picked up my pottery from allyson last night:

it even came with cute little wooden chopsticks! i was so proud of how good the fleur de lys turned out (there's one on the inside, too)! props to moi.

i filled it with my favorite eggplant with spicy ginger sauce (link is a picture) from the nytimes and some brown rice. last time i made this, i used tofu and broccoli instead. tonight i added asparagus, but i think  i'd definitely use broccoli again in the future. nothing else can soak up the sauce the way the little fuzzy broccoli heads can in chinese stir-fries. it's my weakness.
